Self-Medication
Self-Medication is referred as, using medicines without any prescription of a professional doctor. It is a leading problem in developing countries where people find it much cheaper to go own their own. These people usually don not know proper dosage of that particular medicine according to their age group and diagnosis of the disease they suffer from; however, it either causes an adverse effect on their health or even causes death in swear cases. According to a survey by World Bank and United Nations:

These practices are mostly in use due to lack of facilities available and lack of awareness to people. If they are properly provided with cheap and efficient facilities by the government, and if it introduces such austere laws to ensure that only licensed pharmacists should sell drug and if people are provided with awareness of the drawbacks of such practices this problem can be easily solved.
"Unintentional poisonings kill 355 000 people throughout the year. In developing countries - where two thirds of these deaths occur - such poisonings are strongly associated with excessive exposure to, and inappropriate use of, toxic chemicals and pesticides present in occupational and/or domestic environments (1,2)."
